Klingon Wall Panels for Sale

Dave Miklosko, a well known collector in the Star Trek and general movie prop collecting community, and an upstanding member of the Star Trek Prop, Costume & Auction Forum, has a pair of very cool Klingon Wall Panels up for sale.

It is a good deal and I highly recommend it!

STAR TREK: ENT “ENTERPRISE-STYLE KLINGON SET DRESSING LOT”

A lot of two pieces of set dressing similar to those featured throughout Star Trek: Enterprise. One of the items is believed to be a Klingon PADD (Personal Access Display Device) communicator; brown, in roughly the shape of a Capital-P, featuring numerous hexagonal buttons where it would be held, red and gold-colored detail, a matching, perforated “screen” in the middle, and is distressed as all Klingon items are, for effect. The second item is an irregularly-shaped, resin-cast, rusty-brown, device that is also believed to be a communicator and features multiple, black rubber “buttons” with Klingon iconographic symbols, gold and matching brown-colored “buttons”, a smaller, rectangular, “screen” in the middle, what is supposed to be some kind of mechanism in the upper right hand corner, and unused strips on the back for attaching it to a wall or set. The first item measures approx. 9 X 5 inches with a negligible height and the second item measures approx.8.5 X 5 X 2 inches.

IAW lists background costumes.

IAW has listed 6 background costumes to go along with the Alamo model they listed earlier in the week. I think this is pretty telling. Martin probably didn't want the Alamo model because of its size, and he has enough background costumes so that he didn't take those.

I will not be surprised if this is all we have to look forward to....Martin's rejects! :-)

Time shall tell, but I don't think we will see any interesting costumes or props in the future. IAW is just cleaning out Martin's leftovers.

DS9 "Alamo" Model on eBay by IAW

Well, I am not sure I consider one auction a "return" to auctioning for IAW. But a 10 day auction of the well known "Alamo" model was put up on eBay by IAW last night. Obviously Martin didn't want this item, as it is HUGE.

Sadly, and typically, IAW didn't mention ANYTHING about the size or construction of this item. Seriously, this is why Colin was critical and unappreciated by IAW. Colin never would have let this auction go up with such a crappy and inadequate description.

How big is this item? I mean, what a basic piece of information and IAW can't even tell us? How many miniatures are included? Is the Travis figure included? What is this made of?

Just plain sloppy.

New IAW Auctions?

Supposedly IAW will start listing more auctions this week. Two questions come to mind....

1) What is left after Martin bought most everything.

2) Who will write the descriptions with Colin let go?

I guess we will have to wait and see.....

"Endgame" Cardassian Rifle for sale.

Steve, who goes by USS Vision on the Star Trek Prop, Costume & Auction Forum, is selling off the Cardassian Rifle seen when Admiral Janeway is trying to secure technology from the Klingon, Korath, in Voyager's final episode "Endgame". The Rifle comes from the Christie's Auction, where it sold for $ 4,200, $ 5020 with the buyer's premium. Here is the Christie's Description:

CARDASSIAN RIFLE

A modified two-handed prop Cardassian rifle weapon made from solid cast resin with additional metal and resin parts -- 22in. long -- This Cardassian weapon was used in the Voyager series finale "Endgame, Part 1". It was the Cardassian rifle that Korath (Vaughn Armstrong) modifies to fire a Nadion pulse.

Star Trek items still left at IAW?

Martin Netter emailed me and said that there are still Star Trek items left. Martin refuses to tell me what he bought and what is left. He cannot therefore confirm that anything is left.

All evidence indicates that all the Star Trek items are gone. Why let go the staff at the warehouse if there were items left? Why the rush to settle up accounts with everyone? Many have heard from IAW by phone, which never used to happen when WE needed customer support!

If I were to bet, I would say that IAW is done with Star Trek.

Martin has already noted on the Star Trek Forum that he is willing to sell items to collectors and he has reached out to a few collectors which is very nice of him. He indicated that whatever he doesn't need for his museum he will put on sale. I do hope his museum comes through as it should be like another Star Trek Tour.

Martin Netter confirms IAW Sale of Remaining Star Trek Assets

Martin Netter, who many of you know as filmwelt-Berlin on eBay, has confirmed on the Star Trek Prop Forum that he did in fact buy out the remainder of the Star Trek items from IAW. Martin also stated he is working hard on his Sci Fi museum, which will be near the Hanover, Germany airport.

Good luck to Martin, and now we can finally bid IAW good riddance!
